From Tuesday to Sunday a large green boat departs from our jetty in the IJ harbour. The historic IJ ferry takes you to Vuurtoreneiland in 20 minutes. From the bustling city of Amsterdam to a rugged piece of nature in the Markermeer. On the island you’ll find Amsterdam’s only lighthouse (hence the name “Vuurtoreneiland”), a dilapidated fortress and a greenhouse. In this greenhouse you will be served a delicious five-course menu. The table d’hôte menu is prepared with regional products of the season. Food with character and a special story. Vuurtoreneiland is a very popular place to visit, so it is useful to make a reservation a few months in advance. This can be done via the Dutch website of Vuurtoreneiland Amsterdam.
