As of June Lloyd Hotel will reopen its doors. This means that we can once again welcome guests in our hotel and restaurant, it’s possible to rent a working space and organize a meeting or event at Lloyd Hotel.

In order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus and to maximize the safety of our guests and employees, we made this protocol. We follow the guidelines as stipulated by the RIVM (Dutch Health Institute), the Municipality of Amsterdam and KHN (Royal Dutch Association for the Hospitality Branche). We will continue to closely monitor the developments and if we deem this necessary, we will change our protocol.

General measures:

  1. All employees are familiar with this protocol and have to follow the guidelines.
  2. Employees that show symptoms (fever, a cold) will not come to work. We stimulate our employees that can work from home, to do so.
  3. We expect our guests to disinfect their hands as soon as they enter our premises. Desinfectionpoints are available at the main entrance, the reception area and on our terrace.
  4. A maximum of two people are allowed in the restrooms at any given time.
  5. We kindly ask our guests to ony use the elevators going up and use the stairs to come back down again. The surfaces of the elevators will be disinfected regularly.
  6. Employees should wash their hands at least once an hour, following the RIVM guidelines.
  7. We kindly ask our guests to fulfil payments by debit- or creditcard. In case a guest wishes to pay in cash, our employees will have to wear gloves in order to process the payment.
  8. All guests that have made their reservation via our own website, via telephone or email are allowed a full refund should they choose to cancel their reservation. For our full terms & conditions, please refer to our online policy.

 

Restaurant

  1. A maximum of 30 guests are allowed in the restaurant at any given time. All guests should keep at least 1.5 meters distance from each other. A host will be available to monitor this maximum.
  2. Making a reservation for the restaurant is mandatory. Reservations can be made via our website, or by telephone (+31205613677).
  3. A day prior to the reservation, we will contact the guests to inform them about their health. At arrival, the host will ask a set of screening questions. Guests that decline to answer the questions will be refused entry to our restaurant.
  4. Guests are not allowed to sit at the bar. However, it is possible to settle the check at the bar.
  5. Tables in the restaurant are placed with at least 1.5 meter distance from each other. A maximum of two guests are allowed per table, unless the guests belong to one household. The host will inquire about this when the guests arrive and table assignment will be done accordingly.
  6. Guests are expected to disinfect their hands at the entrance before taking place at their table.
  7. All restaurant employees will be required to wash their hands regularly, in line with the guidelines as set out by the RIVM.
  8. Employees will use sidetables to serve food and/or drinks if requested by the guest. Otherwise we will serve at the guests table.
  9. Surfaces and menu’s will be disinfected after each use.
  10. It is possible to order take away. This can be collected at the hostdesk or bar by a maximum of three people per pick-up.

Terrace

  1. Making a reservation on our terrace is not mandatory. A reservation will be made on site however and the host will ask a set of screening questions. Guests that decline answering those questions, will be refused entry.
  2. Only seating is allowed on the terrace. Tables on the terrace are placed with at least 1.5 meter distance from each other. A maximum of two guests are allowed per table, unless the guests belong to one household. The host will inquire about this when the guests arrive and table assignment will be done accordingly.
  3. Guests are expected to disinfect their hands at the entrance before taking place at their table.
  4. All employees will be required to wash their hands regularly, in line with the guidelines as set out by the RIVM.
  5. Employees will use sidetables to serve food and/or drinks if requested by the guest. Otherwise we will serve at the guests table.
  6. Surfaces and menu’s will be disinfected after each use.
  7. We will use one-way traffic as much as possible. The entrance of the terrace is located on the east side of the terrace. Guests are asked to use the stairs on the west side of the building to go to the public restrooms. Employees will use the other stairs on the east side.

Reception and hostdesk

  1. The set-up at the reception and host desk is such that a distance of 1.5 meters is kept between staff and guests.
  2. Guests are requested to check in online as much as possible. All keys will be disinfected.
  3. If guests wish to temporarily store their luggage before or after check-in, we kindly ask you to place the luggage in the designated area. A staff member will walk with the guest to designate this.

Rooms

  1. At check-in, guests will be asked if they require room cleaning during their stay. Employees will only enter rooms after explicit permission of the guest and when the guest is not in the room.
  2. All housekeeping employees will wear masks and gloves while cleaning rooms.
  3. Rooms are thoroughly cleaned, following the RIVM guidelines. All contact surfaces will be disinfected after each stay.
  4. Towels and bathrobes (if applicable) will be sealed in plastic.
  5. Room service will be offered on a trolley, which will be placed outside the guests room door. The guest will be asked to take the room service delivery from the trolley. The employee will not enter the room and keep a safe distance.

Meeting and Events

  1. We offer banqueting facilities for groups with a maximum of 30 participants per meeting space.
  2. Participants should keep a safe 1.5 meters distance. We have prepared several rooms layouts in order to adhere to these RIVM rules.
  3. The contact person of the group will inform the Lloyd Hotel about the health of the participants and any anomalies.
  4. For food and beverage, we obtain the same rules as in the restaurant. We do not offer buffet-style lunch or dinners, but will offer catering separately packed per participant.
  5. If several groups of the same company have a meeting at Lloyd Hotel at the same time, then the groups should be separated from each other as much as possible.
